Yesterday, Charlie and Lynn were at the market briefly, but they spent most of the day getting ready for the Montgomery County Fair.
Insert a comment in this blog with your guess how many ribbons they will win this year.
The person with the closest guess will win two pounds of Charlie's, fresh tomatoes.

I entered 22 flowers in the Fair compeition - wisely avoiding ALL of Charlie's veggie categories. I'm going to guess 97 rubbins for him.
ReplyDeleteCharlie is going to win nine ribbons this year.
ReplyDeleteCharlie's gardening is an example of what folks can do. Best wishes in his quest for more awards. His true "ribbons" are hanging on the vines. Local vine ripened summer tomatoes are a gift beyond description. I hope this kind of activity will never go the way of lemonaid stand that used to accompany home gardens.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess my age and go with 25 ribbons! Go Charlie!
ReplyDeleteMy guess is sweet 16. Gluck! :)
ReplyDeleteGosh, this is tough as I don't know how many entries Charlie plans to submit. But Charlie, I love your produce and flowers and I'm sure you will win. I'm guessing 8.

I went to the Fair today - I won 8 ribbons for my 22 flower entries - 2 were first place :-)
ReplyDeleteSaw Lynn had won at least one big grand prize ribbon - it was for a big harvest display. I'm sure there were many others :-)
I'll go with 130 ribbons.

I would guess 75 for Charlie's entries, knowing that Charlie usually walks away with a prize for almost everything he enters.
